About Us

Morgan Hughes Energy is an American independent energy company with interests in a portfolio of upstream and midstream assets in the Middle East. Through its shareholders, Morgan Hughes owns operating interests in onshore producing gas assets as well as a network of transportation and distribution pipelines and a strategic gas storage facility. Morgan Hughes is part of an independent group of companies who have had a long history and presence in the energy sector in the Middle East and Africa. Our management team have the expertise and a successful record of fast-track development of oil and gas resources and utilising associated gas.

Executive Management

Steven Huddleston
Chairman

Steven Huddleston is a highly experienced oil and gas executive who has been in senior executive leadership roles over the past 12 years and has spent over 35 years’ in the oil and gas industry, with 25 years at Marathon Oil Company in both domestic and international arenas. At Marathon his roles included responsibility for operations engineering, drilling engineering, production engineering, reservoir engineering, project management and business development. Steven also has acted as advisor to a National Oil Company and key Government stakeholders and has been in the role of Vice President of Business Development for MEPUSA, where has worked for 12 years.

Gregory Bloom
President

Gregory Bloom is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in the investment banking, defense and energy industries. He leads Morgan Hughes' strategy in alignment with U.S. energy policy. Bloom has led global operations and cross-border transactions at the nexus of energy and international security, and has worked with U.S. government and partner governments on industrial base development, defence cooperation, and policy alignment. He has structured joint ventures, guided market entry, and advised on energy security across MENA, Europe, and the Indo Pacific. Previously, he served as COO of Jones Group International, president & CEO of Capewell and was COO at Acorn Capital.

Salma Kalisvaart
Chief Commercial Officer

Salma Kalisvaart leads commercial strategy for Morgan Hughes Energy. She is a senior finance executive and investment professional with over 20 years’ experience including 15 years at JPMorgan in the Investment Bank where she worked across both Equity Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions. Salma has deep expertise in the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors, having worked on transactions across the Middle East and Africa. Salma has led high profile IPOs and M&A deals during her time at JPMorgan and brings extensive experience of working on oil and gas transactions in Iraq.

Fahad Intisar
Vice President
Asset Management

Fahad Intisar has over 26 years of global projects, operations and asset management experience, including more than 5 years in country and regional leadership roles at global integrated oilfield services companies. He is a qualified engineer with extensive expertise in all engineering and commercial aspects of integrated projects and asset management. Beginning in 2020, he led Halliburton’s business in Iraq and Eastern Gulf as Vice President & Managing Director. His prior roles involved regional operations leadership for integrated projects in Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific regions for Halliburton and Baker Hughes, as well as in production management with BP.

Chad Ladner
Vice President
Facilities

Chad Ladner has over 30 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas, and Energy sectors, with a distinguished record leading complex projects and strategic initiatives across global markets. He has held executive and senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Projects and Strategy at a leading regional oilfield services company operating in Iraq. His earlier positions include Facilities Project Manager at Centurion Energy, VECO Corporation, and Quantel Engineering. Throughout his career, Chad has consistently delivered fast track and high-impact results, driving operational excellence, capital efficiency, and sustainable growth in technically and logistically challenging environments.

Dr.Hadi Parvizi
Vice President
Reservoir & Field Development

Dr. Hadi Parvizi has over 20 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering and Subsurface Management with specific expertise in driving the evaluation, surveillance planning, and reserve forecasting. His previous roles included serving as the Chief Reservoir Engineer at Cepsa E&P, where he managed the second largest oilfield in Algeria. Dr. Parvizi's has played a wide range of consulting, management and senior reservoir engineering roles at SLB, Eni, E.ON, RWE and Premier Oil and has conducted reservoir studies for numerous Oil & Gas fields in the North Sea, Middle East and Africa. He has a distinguished record in delivering reservoir management projects, production optimization, and is skilled in various fluid and reservoir types.
